The team at Light Electric Vehicle Association and eCycleElectric Consultants have released the ebike import numbers for USA for 2025.
2.2 million units of complete ebikes were found in import records for 2025. Compared to our 2024 import estimate of 1.7 million units, this represents a year-over-year growth of 29%.
eCycleElectric has been studying this data source since 1997, and is widely regarded as a reliable source of information. The team compares their findings with discussions / interviews with retailers and distributors to estimate if the imports are selling through. In 2025, the sell through seems to be excellent.
2025 was a challenging year, and such good performance is great news for our industry.
